Secrets and Lies

Bright Boy and Phantom Justice are fighting in the cities rooftops against Dr. Chaotic and Monkeywrench. In that instant Monkeywrench and Bright Boy start fighting against each other and both fell from the building. For the terrible fall Monkeywrench´s mask fell of, Scott recognize that she was a girl from school called Alison Mendes. Without waiting, Alison takes out Bright Boy´s mask and recognize his face too. After the fight ended, both Trent and Scott get in the car to go home and Scott tells Trent about the secret identity of Monkeywrench, Trent tells him that is convenient for him to stick with Alison for her to tell him her secrets and plans. Also both of them start a discussion about Scott´s outfit as Bright Boy. The next day at school Scott is trying to talk with Alison but she doesn't see him. At recess, Scott is walking around the hallway until he has been dragged to a dark room where is Alison ready to talk. The both get to a agreement to not revel each others identities to the rest of the people. In the underground´s of the city trent and Dr. Edward Simmons a.k.a. Dr. Chaotic are having a plan to betray their own sidekicks by their own side. While they both work on their plan Scott and Alison are having lunch together and sharing personal things to each other. 

And that´s when I notice Monkeywrench´s mask is gone... and that Monkeywrench isn´t a "he." "Alison? Mendez?" [80]

I think that Scott was very freaked out by this fact that Alison, one of the popular girls from his school was his archenemy and specially because Monkeywrench was not a boy. 

I spend the rest of the ride home staring out to the window. For the first time since I was a little kid, I find myself wishing for a completely different life. [95]

In this little fragment of the book explains how Scott is feeling about this total identity thing, he is nervous about what will happened if he talks to Alison and all goes wrong.

I predict that the next thing that will happen in the book will be that Scott and Alison will fall in love and both defeat Phantom Justice and Bright Boy. Keep following my blog to find out what happens with Alison and Scott.
