The Last Hours

When they are all at Quentin's mini-van they assign each other's roles for when they get to the gas station. Everything is timed perfectly to get at time at PROM. They get over cops, bathroom stops, etc. At the gas station they only got 6min to get everything. They achieve their goal and continue to drive to get to New York. At night they make a stop an sleep in turns. They make another stop to go to the bathroom and buy more groceries. After the stop they run into some traffic which take away some of their other minutes. When the night comes Quentin had an accident that leaves him a mark in the forehead. They stop a minute to refocus and after that Ben gets back in the road. Hey start talking about how Ben save their life at the accident. Ben stop again to sleep, when Quentin starts to fall asleep he realize that this trip was a good time to spend time with his friends. In the morning they start talking, singing, putting names to the car and having fun. After twenty hours of trip they arrive at Agloe, NY; just in time to find Margo. They find Margo writing at a store, she doesn't know what they are doing there. Margo makes fun of Lacey for join the guys, she leaves angry with Ben and Radar at her side. Quentin is confused by the reaction of Margo when she tells him that she didn't want anyone to find her. They argue and Quentin wants to know why she left all the clues, etc. They talk and Margo answers all his questions until night. When the next day arrives and Quentin gets to the bus that drives him home Margo kissed him before leaving.

We spend the hour preparing our first stop. This is an important stop, because I am very, very, very, very hungry and dehydrated.[Green 251]

The gang are very strict and have all their schedule for the trip of finding Margo and getting back home in time for prom.

Here is Margo Roth Spieglman, five feet away from me. She stares at me. [Green 281]

Quentin is shocked and happy about finding Margo at the paper town, she looks surprised and shocked as he is.

I really had fun reading this book because I like all the comedy and drama that had been put into. Also the plot line of doing everything to find Margo was more than I suspected was going to be. Thanks for following my blog and I recommend this book to teenagers and adults because has some things that are really interesting that you might like.

Let´s Keep Searching

Ben thinks that Margo is dead and tries to convince Quentin the same. They think that the note that they found was a suicide note. Quentin is disappointed but never stops searching for her while his friends are worried about PROM. Quentin scrapes to search more about the incident and camps at the abandon house with clues. While he was sleeping Radar calls Quentin for him to go get Ben to the after-prom party. He gets to the party and finds that Ben was really drunk and didn't wanted to leave. Quentin goes to the bathroom and finds Lacy in the bathtub. She told him that Becca started a fake rumor about her. At 5:00am they finish talking and Quentin drives Radar and Ben home. The next day after reading the book that Margo leave as clue Quentin get to the conclusion that Margo Roth Spigelman wasn't a miracle, she was just a girl. Back at the abandon house they find a new hidden room that in one of their walls was a map, a nap to the Paper Town. When they where all in their way to New York Ben suggests that Margo will show up at graduation day, but that doesn't stop Quentin.

I began to find evidence of human habitation only when I got back to the empty room.[Green 169]

The dialogue of Quentin shows that the abandon house at New York was very messy and disorganized that there was no way that Margo was hiding there.

So it turned out that I did spend prom night with Margo, just not quite as I´d dreamed.[Green 174]

Quentin is so desperate to find Margo that he is even imagining her with his eyes open.

I like how the story is going with this ¨finding Margo¨ thing because gives the reader a sensation to don't want to put the book down and keep reading. See if Quentin finds Margo and how the story ends in my next blogpost.

Margo Roth Spieglman

After a long night full of fun, Quentin goes to school very happy because he would see Margo there. When he gets there Margo wasn't in school all day. Quentin gets home and finds Margo's parents and a detective sitting at his living room. The detective asks if he knows where is Margo because she was missing. The next day Quentin and his friends find out that Margo have left clues to where she went. Back in school Lacy Pemberton (Margo's best friend) and Angela (Radar's girlfriend) join the guys to search for Margo. They found a clue that led them to a abandoned building near New York. There was a note that tell Quentin to go to the Paper Towns.

I couldn't help but hope that Margo Roth Spieglman would return and drag my tired ass through one more night that I´d never forget. [Green 93]

Quentin misses so much being with Margo after that night full of adventures. He wants to spend time with her.

I lay down and started to feel a little depressed about prom. I refuse to feel any kind of sadness over the fact that I wasn't going to prom, but I had-stupidly, embarrassingly-thought of finding Margo, and getting her home...[Green 133]

The only thing that Quentin wants is to find Margo and ask her to go to prom with him.

So far I think that the book has a good plot that allows the author express more of his feelings and use imagery. Follow my next blogpost to see how Quentin deals with this problem of finding Margo and getting her home.

Paper Towns

Quentin is a senior in high school. Since he was a kid he had a crush in his neighbor Margo Roth Spilgerman. They both live in Orlando, Florida. Quentin's world changes when one night Margo breaks into his house to borrow his car. He agrees to take her into an adventure that involves things like breaking into other houses, playing pranks to other classmates and enter illegally to Sea World at the middle of the night. As the night passed by Margo and Quentin get to know things nobody knew about them. Both are trying to rebuild a relationship that they have had since they were children.

"I swiveled around when I head the window open, and Margo´s blue eyes were staring back at me." [Green 25]

This quote shows that Margo and Quentin haven´t talked in a long time.

"It was 2:49 in the morning. I had never, in my entire life, felt less tired." [Green 52]

Tis explains how Quentin is so in love with Margo that no matter the time or place he would never be tired.

In conclusion, I am liking this book because shows a little of romance and drama which makes the story more interesting. Follow me in my next blog post to see how this adventure continues...
